Intensity Level – Medium to High
Join us for an unforgettable Warrior Bonfire Retreat in the heart of canyon country! This retreat offers our Purple Heart recipients a chance to unplug and recharge on the beautiful Colorado River, surrounded by the red rock walls and wide-open skies of Moab, Utah. In partnership with Adaptive Sports Association, we’re excited to bring you a whitewater rafting & camping experience designed to be both exhilarating and healing.
Our group will fly into Durango, Colorado, and drive together to Moab, Utah, where we’ll begin our river journey at Dewey Bridge boat ramp. Over the course of two nights and three days, we’ll paddle through friendly, beginner-level rapids ranging from Class I to Class III, offering both excitement and relaxation as we travel downriver to our take-out point at Take Out Beach. Along the way, we’ll camp under the stars, share meals fireside, and connect with fellow Purple Heart recipients in a setting that encourages camaraderie, reflection, and healing.
Whether you’re brand new to rafting or an outdoor enthusiast, this retreat is tailored to meet you where you are and provide a meaningful, supportive experience. While on the river you can expect staff and volunteers of Adaptive Sports Association to be Certified Raft Guides, Swift Water Rescue certified, and Wilderness First Responder certified. Rafting is all ability inclusive, must be able to navigate uneven terrain and tent camping.
