Hosted in partnership with BattleFish Academy, this unique retreat brings Purple Heart recipients to the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains of New York for an immersive fly fishing experience centered on skill-building, adventure, and camaraderie. 

Day 1 – Build It, Plan It, Fish It
We will build our own custom fly fishing rods, gather around the wall map to plan the weekend’s adventures, and then head to Moose Pond for the evening bite, targeting landlocked salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trout. If successful, we’ll prepare the catch over an open flame as the sun sets.
Day 2 – Into the Wilderness
With rods complete and ready, we’ll launch onto the Saranac River and float into the McKenzie Mountain Wilderness. This full-day float will offer incredible fishing opportunities for smallmouth bass and native brook trout, combined with breathtaking scenery. 
Day 3– The Tupper Triad
We’ll close the experience with a canoe-based adventure through the Tupper Triad waters, setting our sights on landing a trophy northern pike on the fly.

This retreat combines craftsmanship, outdoor adventure, and meaningful connection, offering Purple Heart recipients an unforgettable opportunity to recharge, challenge themselves, and experience the healing power of nature together.

This event is open to 6 Purple Heart Members of the Warrior Bonfire Program

Lodging, travel, food, and activities are at no expense to the warrior.
