Join Warrior Bonfire Program for our annual deer hunt at Letterkenny Army Depot, hosted in partnership with Whitetail Warrior Program, Inc. and the leadership of Letterkenny Army Depot. This retreat is ideal for Purple Heart recipients who are new to deer hunting, though hunters of all experience levels are welcome.

Participants will enjoy two days of guided deer hunting followed by a visit to the historic Gettysburg National Military Park, offering an opportunity to reflect on our nation’s military history while strengthening bonds with fellow Purple Heart recipients.

If a deer is harvested, basic processing and a skull mount are included. (Shoulder mounts, European mounts, and shipping of mounts and processed meat are not included.) Whether it’s your first hunt or one of many, this retreat provides an unforgettable outdoor experience built around learning, camaraderie, and honoring our shared military heritage.

This event is open to 5 Purple Hearts – Lodging, travel, food, and hunt licenses are provided at no expense to the warrior.

Driving to this event is encouraged but not required.

Firearms and ammunition are provided and encouraged but not required. Ammunition is not provided for use of a private firearm.

Requirements 

• Warrior Bonfire ALUMNI only
• Must provide a current driver’s license with the REAL ID Star
• Must fill out a criminal background check form for Letterkenny access

Event dates include travel days.

Priority is given to those who have not attended in the past.
