The Colorado Spouses Retreat is a spouses-only weekend designed to provide connection, renewal, and support for those caring for a Purple Heart recipient. Set in the mountains of Colorado, this retreat offers time away to relax, reflect, and connect with others who understand the unique challenges and rewards of being a caregiver.

Participants will enjoy the mornings having coffee on the deck of a mountainside cabin and breathing in the crisp mountain air before heading out for some fun activities! This group will go kayaking on Grand Lake, horseback riding through the alpines, enjoy a scenic ski lift ride to the top of the mountain for a picnic, and a gentle downhill hike. The experience also includes time to explore the local shops and tap into our creative side with a watercolor class. The pace allows for both gentle activity and meaningful downtime, creating space to recharge while building new friendships.

This retreat is positive, uplifting, and energizing—created to ensure spouses return home feeling supported, refreshed, and ready to continue their vital role.

This event is open to 4 Purple Heart Spouses – Priority is given to those who have not traveled in the past with Warrior Bonfire. The Purple Heart recipient does not need to be a registered member or participant in the program for the spouse to attend these retreats. 

Lodging, travel, food, and activities are at no expense to the attending spouse – Event dates include travel days – Detailed Activities will be provided closer to time.
