Cowboys & Currents is a new Warrior Bonfire Program retreat that immerses Purple Heart recipients in the wide-open landscapes and working traditions of Nebraska ranch country. Based in the small town of Brewster, this retreat turns the journey itself into part of the experience, traveling each day to unique locations across the region.

Participants will set out on daily adventures that may include a local ranch rodeo, golfing, an ecosystem tour, tubing or canoeing on the Niobrara River, and classic river tanking—floating downstream in lawn chairs set inside horse tanks. The group will also have the opportunity to take part in calf branding, with the option to participate hands-on as much or as little as desired.

The retreat also includes a train tour in North Platte, adding a deeper look into the area’s history and industry. From open highways to unforgettable destinations, Cowboys & Currents blends movement, tradition, and shared experience—creating camaraderie through the adventure of exploring Nebraska together.

This event is open to 6 Purple Heart Members of the Warrior Bonfire Program

Lodging, travel, food, and activities are at no expense to the warrior.

Event dates include travel days.
